" Live trees are never cut down to take the wood; all the woods are found or given.  As wood grows, each tree has its own stresses, quite periods, and spurts of growth.  Trees can tell their own story by the characteristics (as with people) reflected in their texture, the grain and cracks. Even a tree eaten by bugs can be sculpted to tell its story of survival. I found a sample essay, possibly better custom essay toronto, assistance in online tutoring.

"When I found the rusted machete blade and the rusted piece of metal shaped like a small fetish figure, I knew it would complete the artwork.   I have been drawn to this particular piece of wood for a long time;  there is something about the interior and one end.   Oak is a dense hard wood and yet this piece is so thin at one end you can see light through it."  The meaning of the sculpture concerns man's conflict with nature. The piece of scarlet cloth has a star pinned to it ... possibly signifying a flag, nationalism. The fish-like non-objective figure is riding in on a piece of scarlet cloth.  The stars circling the outside represent the promised wonder of nature.  The sphere of humankind is charred, the wood (earth) and stars (air) around it.
